How long have I been walking? When did I last take a drink of water? I do not know. But Shander and Nance has been following me the whole time. They have been striking up conversation after conversation with each other, occasionally trying to include me in on them. Such as "where are you going?" "Are you alright?" and the like. I never respond to them. I realize randomly, after hearing one or the other trip behind me, that I'm in the woods. Ah, why not try to scare them off? Out loud I say, "Shun the frumious Bandersnatch!" I know it's all in the head. Shander might know. Nance won't at all. Shander will figure it out. I ignore it, letting them freak out over something that doesn't even exist anywhere except in their heads. Like I suspected, they run around, freaking out, and I lose them. At least, I lose them temporarily. But I do make some distance.
